The video works The Peacock Walk (Wise Up Ghost), The Room of Emile Verhaeren and Looking While Listening (Title, Address, Dedication) take avant garde movement Les XX (Les vingt) as a starting point. Les XX was the name of a group of writers, painters and architects that grew up in Belgium around 1900. This group, which included writer Emile Verhaeren, painter Theo Van Rysselberghe and architect Henry Van de Velde, articulated the new ideas and discourse that emerged within the changing society and community.
