Correspondance

Correspondance had the shape of a dialogue that developed  through a series of spoken letters, a video and a print. The work was made in collaboration with graphic designer Katja Gretzinger. It took as a starting point a series of portraits by Bertold Brecht from the twenties and a series of portraits of Swiss designers from the sixties. Hendrikse and Gretzinger related to topics of representation and immediacy in design, theatre and “real life“ and examined possible other forms of subjectivity, recollection and presence.
